Overview

A stylish and character Tuscan home and an ideal base for touring Tuscany. The property retains original features such as beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and two wonderful panoramic terraces with lovely views over the Medieval towers.

The property is located on the Medieval hillside and is situated over different levels giving this property a truly unique and authentic feel.

Casa del Pretorio is within walking distance to the village and all its amenities.

Description

BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 – Sleeps 2 – 3
Situated on the first floor and has a double Queen size bed and a single bed which can be used for a child on request.
Bedroom 2 – Sleeps 2
Situated on the mezzanine level (second level) and can be prepared as a twin or double room. This bedroom has its own en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 3 – Sleeps 1
Situated on the first floor.

BATHROOMS
The property has two bathrooms.
First floor – family bathroom with bath tub, shower attachment, hand basin, WC and bidet.
Second floor – en suite bathroom with shower, hand basin, WC and bidet.
Hand soap and shower gel are provided.

KITCHEN AND DINING SPACE
The kitchen and dining space are on the ground floor and have split levels.

The dining area is on the ground floor and has exposed stone walls, a large dining table and seating for 6 people.

The kitchen is accessed by 5 steps and is on the upper ground level. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home and from here there is access to a pretty conservatory.

LIVING AND LOUNGING SPACE
The living room is on the ground floor and has comfortable seating for 6 people. Like the dining space, this room is full of character with exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings.

CONSERVATORY
The conservatory is reached via 3 steps from the kitchen. The area is flooded with light with large windows and a small border with lemon trees. This space has wicker furniture to relax on and is a lovely place to sit and take afternoon tea or read a book.

GARDEN AND OUTSIDE AREAS

There are two lovely terraces to dine and relax al fresco. The first is on the ground level and there is a table and chairs for dining out. Stone steps (33 in total) lead up to the upper level garden and terrace where you will find an area with some shade plus a BBQ and garden furniture.

Both terraces face South West and have wonderful views over the Medieval towers and surrounding countryside.

ACCESS AND PARKING
The property is nestled into the hillside.

A free car park used by the residents of the historic centre is approximately 300 metres away.

From the car park the access to the property is via a cobbled lane, a small ramp (or 5 steps) then a further 5 stone steps, followed by approximately 50 metres of cobbled lane. There are then 12 stone steps up to the lane where the house is situated and then 7 steps to the front door.

There are many routes to access the house both from the car park and the village centre, some have less steps than the above mentioned route to the car park, however on arrival the above route offers the most direct access.

We do not recommend this property for anyone having difficulty negotiating stairs.
