Overview

Appartamento Roberta is located in the heart of the authentic Medieval village of Vicopisano with views over the surrounding countryside and hills but yet conveniently situated close to and within walking distance to local village amenities such as the grocery store, bakers, and restaurants! Appartamento Roberta is located on the second floor in an ancient 13th Century tower house but had the unusual addition of an elevator to take you to the front door. Appartamento Roberta offers a spacious setting full of Tuscan charm and character. The property is 140 square metres and has use of a shared garden located on the ground floor where a table, chairs, and sun umbrella are provided for our guests.

The charismatic 3 bedroom apartment has 2 bathrooms and a large Tuscan stone-built fully equipped kitchen with a big wooden table for all to gather around. There is also a small annex which has a sofa and large screen television. The property has been lovingly restored to the highest standards.

Appartamento Roberta is the perfect choice for a family, also with children. The Attic space, directly under great Tuscan beams, has been converted into a spacious children’s zone/or group zone with 4 single beds that can be used also by adults. In the Attic space, there is a corner to relax with sofa and mood lighting which can be changed at the touch of a button.

Description

BEDROOM 1: Master Bedroom
This Master bedroom is spacious and airy with traditional beamed ceilings.

There is a double queen-size comfortable wrought iron bed so typical of the region. A large closet wardrobe, and dresser. Shuttered windows are fitted with mosquito screens. It has an en-suite shower room with a big shower box, WC, bidet, and a washbasin set in an old sewing machine. This bedroom is an airconditioned room.

BEDROOM 2:
The large airy bedroom has a comfortable Queen-size bed and genuine antique furnishings. A large closet and a fine dresser adorn the room. Bed linens and bathrobes are provided to lounge in. These air-conditioned shuttered windows are fitted with mosquito screens.

BEDROOM 3: Attic Style
The Attic can comfortably accommodate 4 people in single beds both children, teens, and adults. There is plenty of space to lounge around and play games and a corner with a sofa in front of a large wooden mural of the world. Creative led lighting has been installed to change the mood of the room from relaxing tones for sleeping to brighter hues that change colour which will certainly delight younger guests. Although this room has been designed with kids in mind, the single beds are large enough to sleep, adults. TV, Air-conditioned, wardrobe, relaxation and games area, linens and towels provided.

LIVING AND LOUNGING SPACE
Preceding the entry to the rooms there is a small annex/ lounging area designed to sit comfortably, read a book or watch television on the large TV screen.

BATHROOM
There are two bathrooms both similar in structure. The first is an ensuite bathroom located next to the master bedroom and the other is located on the main floor close to the second bedroom. Each bathroom has a shower cubicle, washbasin, WC, and bidet.

KITCHEN AND THE LOGGIA

The kitchen offers the ideal place to get together around a large wooden table that can accommodate up to 10 people, the perfect meeting place for a family or a group of friends! With wonderful views over the surrounding hills and garden below the stone Kitchen at “Casa Roberta” is a wonderful area to prepare, cook and enjoy your home cooked Tuscan meal. The room is very traditional with a large Tuscan chandelier hanging from the character beamed ceiling. Shuttered windows are fitted with mosquito screens.

GARDEN AND OUTSIDE AREAS
The garden is full of Tuscan character with typical olive trees and it is shared with the other guests or residents of the Medieval building. The space is furnished with garden furniture and a sun umbrella, a perfect place to relax in the sun. Children are certainly allowed to play in the garden, however we do ask that Italian siesta time is respected between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Within walking distance to the apartment are some local parks and children’s playgrounds.

ACCESS AND PARKING
Appartamento Roberta is situated on the second floor of a Medieval House Tower and can be accessed by a lift/elevator. There are free car parking spaces along the street where the property is situated and a resident’s car park is approximately 200 metres away. There are two entrances to the property: the main entrance is in Via Lante the main road of the historic centre – you enter through an old doorway into a spacious hallway – from here you may access your private entrance. The other entrance – better if you arrive with the car- is in Via Trombi with the free car parking along the street.
