Overview

Casa di Vico is a lovingly restored Medieval Tower house located in the heart of the historic centre of Vicopisano.

In the Middle Ages the Tower houses of Vicopisano played a very important role. Wealthy and noble families built high towers in pursuit of prestige and respect, the higher the tower the more power and dominance the family held and those with the highest towers usually had control over the village.

Unfortunately, we have no knowledge of Casa di Vico’s Medieval proprietors, however we do know that the house was virtually on the banks of the river Arno which once flowed through the village up until the end of the 16th Century.

Today Casa di Vico has been recently renovated and lovingly restored by the property owners who have an eye for detail and a business in yacht interiors! Each of the three floors of Casa d Vico have been renovated to an extremely high standard with romantic bedrooms, contemporary bathrooms, a fully equipped family kitchen and stylish interiors
The entrance to the house is situated on the main street of the Medieval centre of the village and in times gone by this street would have been a hive of activity with many businesses and shops. Today the street is mainly residential and is lined with tower houses and a quaint little bar just 15 metres away.
